Its base station is slightly larger than other models and requires 50cm space either side plus 150cm in front, but for those with the room it's capable of offering a completely hands-free clean.

The smart navigation technology of the X10 is able to monitor the layout and design of your home. It stores the data in its internal memory, without ever sending it to the cloud. Combining AI See with iPath laser mapping technology the X10 is able to efficiently remember room layouts and optimize cleaning routes to ensure efficiency and thoroughness.

The X10's smart object recognition system also performs well and allows the robot to easily identify and avoid dangers like power cords. It can be programmed to clean and replenish the battery automatically, which is an excellent feature. However, I noticed that the X10 may get stuck on some more thick carpets, which can cause it to crash loudly over them, and sometimes pushing its front brush into the rugs.

This is a fantastic robo-vacuum and mop however, it's let down by the confusing app. Eufy Clean's app is not as intuitive as the iRobot App, which guides you through the process of setting up your robot up and shows you how to use. It's still a great alternative however, and provides the possibility of customization for those that want to make the most out of its capabilities.

The battery life is not as good as some of its competitors and might require the battery to recharge every so often when you have more space in your home. Additionally, it is quite loud during operation and may not be suitable in areas where silence is the preferred choice. It's a great value for the price. The SwitchBot S10 is an item that is unique in its class because of its sleek, modern design.

5. K10 Plus

The K10 Plus is an upgrade from Switchbot's popular Mini robot vacuum. This latest version combines an anti-tangle rubber brush, Advanced Position Sensitive Detector (PSD) sensor, and an upgraded suction capacity that goes 3000Pa or more to provide better corner coverage and overall cleanliness.

The K10 Plus uses SLAM navigation, a simple app and an extensive cleaning process. The PSD sensor and rotary brush work together to move around furniture. Its four-stage cleaning method consolidates sweeps, lifts, and vacuums to remove debris from carpets and floors. The dust bin will empty itself, which means there's no need to empty it frequently.

You can also mark the areas in the space you don't want the device to enter for pets toys or power cords. This is a common feature in all robotic vacuums and is particularly useful when you have certain parts of the house that require more attention than others.

You can set up the K10 Plus so that it returns to its base station after 60, 75 or even 90 minutes in order to empty its dust bin. This is a significant improvement over many other robots that have to be returned on a regular basis and manually emptying the bin, which can save you time.

In my tests, I discovered that the K10 Plus' battery life was excellent. It lasted for 110 minutes in one run which is much more than the iRobot Roomba Combo Essential's 127 minutes.

The K10 Plus has a fairly compact design, which makes it easy to fit under furniture or in tight spaces. It connects to Wi-Fi and includes Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri shortcuts. It works with IFTTT Samsung SmartThings, Samsung SmartThings and IFTTT. The app monitors how often you use its accessories, like the side brushes, filters and dust bag. This will inform you when it is time to replace them.
